The materials that I use are simple objects from another age. They are domestic tools and carry the imprint of the work that they have done. They evoke the time period of their origin; the style and design clearly add an important element. It is not unusual to have the recognition of a part trigger a detailed memory of someone's personal experience with the object. These are often the meeting point between artist and viewer.

I believe that every object has its power. I use very humble objects in my work. Who would have thought ice cube trays could find another life tracing the passage of time? In the hierarchy of possessions they are not esteemed. My work elevates them to the level of art. My wife and I live and work in a small town in western Massachusetts. Our home and studio originally was a Polish bakery. From there I continue my search for the miraculous in the familiar.
